He paused, and his eyes fell upon the Hufflepuff table. Theirs had been the most subdued table before he had gotten to his feet, and theirs were still the saddest and palest faces in the Hall.
The only person apart from Ron and Hermione that Harry felt able to talk to was Hagrid.
Hagrid raised his bushy eyebrows at the disbelieving expressions on their faces.
"Of course not," he said, looking down at Harry. "I have been out of touch with everybody for a year."
Dudley had that moment peered round the living room door. His large, blond head rising out of the stripy collar of his pajamas looked oddly disembodied, his mouth gaping in astonishment and I car. They turned a corner, passing a telephone box and a bus shelter. Harry looked sideways at Dumbledore again. "Professor?"
"That was no hurricane," said Fudge miserably.
